Interesting things I learned from my visit to the...
- They don’t make paper money at the mint. That’s for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
- Getting into the mint is more strict than getting through airport security: metal detector, x-ray machine, no food or drink, no weapons, no purses/bags, and no cameras/cellphones. There are police guards with guns everywhere, and lots of locked doors. This is because there’s millions of...

I’m thinking I might spend some time at a university exchange…. it won’t be for a while though. But I think it’d be fun to spend a semester (or a few weeks) in New York or southern CA or something.

I marked Dachtober Fest on my calendar
It’s basically Octoberfest-type activities, but there’s dachshunds that are dressed in yodeler outfits and hats playing games and racing. And we’ll eat brats.
This is purely for my amusement (I don’t have a dachshund, nor will I bring my dogs who don’t behave well around other dogs). I should be able to get some good photos too. :p

Campus is closed :) It hasn’t even snowed that much.
I still have to go on our class website though to do a live chat. But my prof said to upload our assignment into Doc Sharing, without our names on it so classmates can read it. So I did, but next to it, it managed to put “owner’s name.” And there’s no way to delete it…. oh well.

holy cow! that was a long tennis match!!! I was asleep for half of it. It started at about 2am and ended at about 7:30am. It was a good game too, either one of them had the chance to win it at the end. Also I appreciated the shirt-removal at the end :p French Open in May!

got my ukulele songbook today!
I’m excited! It has songs from Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Ingrid Michaelson, Black Eyed Peas, Eric Clapton, the Beatles…. This will be where my instrumental interests stay for a while! [I thought about taking piano lessons again, but I’m still thinking] For now I’m going to focus on ukulele :D
