textbooks again
I ordered 10 of my 11 textbooks for this semester, for ~$120. Hopefully they all come in time, and in the condition as described.

study abroad
I’m definitely going to study abroad one time, twice if I can. For the longest time, I wanted to go to England in 2012. There’s the Olympics then, which I’ve always wanted to see, and there’s Wimbledon, and I just love the Brit’s. But I don’t want to go there anymore, for fear of terrorist attacks at the Olympics, I’ve lost the strong interest in going...

JOB
I found a site that has a list of some available jobs at the university or nearby. There’s one that’s a restaurant job, which is really appealing to me (because of the money), but I decided that for now, I’ll wait on an off-campus job. Most of the on-campus jobs I found, you actually have to know stuff about departments and be able to answer people’s questions, which I...

unrealistic ambitions
I’ve realized that I have unrealistic ambitions about what I want to accomplish in college. If I want to get out of there in less than 7 years and ever have any fun, I realized that something’s gotta go. -major in social science - secondary education -minor in psychology -endorsement in educational interpreting (sign language) -teaching endorsement in Spanish -study abroad 2...

A Realization
Today I realized that while I’m leaving the things I don’t like about high school, my town, and living at home, I’m also leaving the things I love. My best (and pretty much only) friend is leaving in 2 weeks. I don’t know if I’ll have piano lessons ever again. I won’t have an income (goodbye independence). I’ll miss my dogs. I can’t come home a lot...

I’m shopping for textbooks already! I found one for $140 cheaper than the school bookstore is selling. I’m a winner (and a nerd). :)

Orientation: debrief
Getting there: I’d never driven that far by myself before (about 70 miles to get there) and I’d only been there once before, so it was a little nerve-wracking… my GPS is, unfortunately, a little “special”. They have farms in Greeley!! And big trees! There’s nature there, and the ground is flat everywhere! I couldn’t see the mountains though (sad, I...

I’m reading this book called, “How to Survive Your Freshman Year” and it’s telling me things I’ve never even thought about college before. And frankly, it’s making me a little nervous/anxious/excited/sad. Orientation next week!

One of my summer goals was to read all the books in the massive pile in my room. Deep down, I knew this goal was impossible, and so it is. However, I’ve decided on the few I will read before school starts. I’ve been told that there’s no time for personal reading in college. I’m going to try though.

iTunes really needs to come out with the Beatles catalogue, SOON. I only need a few more songs. It was over a year ago that the rights were sold back, and it is time, seriously.
