- combing my room for my lost phone again. I feel like it’s probably a good idea to look harder bc my family is helping me look for it this weekend haha
- watch a show, or a movie… feeling like Back to the Future or Crazy Stupid Love
- possibly exercising
- maybe studying for my licensure test and my CLEP test
So while I was in California I started getting an itchy rash on my face, and I’ve been trying to think about what could have caused it, because it’s spreading still. So here’s my list of things I was exposed to there that’s different than at home: more spinach, strawberries, and fresh chicken eggs than usually, expired (probably) Proactiv lotion, and new acne cream. But my mom suggested it may have been from petting my brother’s chicken. I might have got some bug off of it :( That seems to be the only logical explanation….?
Wrote a 10 page research paper in one day. I’m impressed that I got it done, and it’s not half-bad. Hopefully next time I’ll start WAAAAY earlier. I have 2 more things to do tonight. My eyes are fried from looking at the computer all day. I want to be done!!
Tomorrow I have a couple of small things to do, and then this big event where the class shows off its digital stories to the public (holy cow! unnecessary!). My group’s project is not that great. Not looking forward to it. Hopefully other group’s will be better.
Then after tomorrow night, I’m DONE with finals. Thursday I’m headed to California for vacation and to visit my brother. I won’t have to work for a week+half and I won’t have school. It will be glorious!!!
When we visit my brother in Switzerland, I hope my parents don’t want to see this. It’s just a mountain. I see mountains every day…
Still no homework done, but I did get something important done. We have this VHS tape of fantastic Christmas cartoons that my Grandpa recorded for my brothers, and it got passed down to me. So I’m making copies of it onto DVDs since my brothers both have kids now. I wonder if my brothers even remember these cartoons (my mom says they will). I hope they understand the sentimental value of this gesture and don’t blow it off. :p
Also, I made a budget for December…. so that’s something done. Christmas presents, gas, and car insurance are the main parts of my budget. I need to remember not to go out to eat this month and next month. I need to let my parents buy the groceries and I’ll eat those!
I really wish I had a secure job situation, but at least this seasonal job at Target will make me more money than at the restaurant.
I got an email from my advisor yesterday saying that I could start my internship a semester early. I think I’ll agree to it, because I have to do it eventually anyhow. I’m only concerned about the timing of that and getting a new job (or staying at Target if they’ll keep me). I’m just concerned about my hours of availability for a job. I decided that if I do this internship, I’ll need to not do as many classes. Without the internship I’d already have 6 classes (16 credits, including choir). With the internship, that’s basically 7 classes (18 credits); I don’t think I would handle that and a job at the same time. I was hoping for an easier semester in the spring, but now I’m thinking that college is just going to be difficult for me because of the major I chose. As a teacher, I’m basically doing 2 majors in 4 years. Yikes!
Anyhow, back to the homework. Thanks for reading :)
so my brother bought me some food… but when I got to his house I was like “This isn’t gonna last me 2 weeks….” but I’ve realized I’ll just have to be creative. It’ll probably get close to 2 weeks. But he did have a package of Oreos which I had a lot of and now my tummy hurts lol. I had steamed veggies and a cheese quesadilla for “dessert” lol. Lesson learned, glad I got that OMGjunkfood urge done with early :p
I’m house-sitting for my brother for 2 weeks and I’m trying to pack and I don’t want to forget anything!!! [I skipped school today for this lol - mostly because I woke up a little late and didn’t feel like rushing.] I’m going to have a whole house to myself, all grown up!!! Exciting!
I can hear my dad blasting Lady Gaga in the basement :p
Car problem solved! My parents gave me a loan for a new one. I owe them car payments now, which is going to be difficult to accomplish, but is much better than being unexpectedly stalled on the road in my old one. I really need to be “promoted” to waitress at work so I can make more money.
It’s a dark blue, sparkly Nissan Altima (my dream car!). Ahhh the tail lights, they’re so pretty! The windows are also tinted dark, so I’m excited about not getting sunburnt as much when I drive. Oooh also it has AC!!! which my old one did not.
Today I’m going to get spare keys made, put the floor mats my dad bought me in it, put all my other stuff from my old one in it (maps, snow brush, chapstick, emergency kit, etc), and put some gas in it (I need to figure out which grade first).
Also today, going to the bank to deposit my paycheck so I can buy my textbooks for fall semester. Also going to try to find some work clothes for when the restaurant moves; we have to dress nicer. Going to exercise, walk the dogs, watch movies, and call school to ask them some questions. And it’s my dad and brother’s birthday today.
